Choosing the right chair for you is like choosing the right pair of jeans. Will it sit right on your hips, support you in the right places and most importantly be comfortable? When buying a pair of jeans, you have the luxury of trying a few pairs on in the shop before you buy the ones that are perfect for you. This can be slightly trickier when buying a new office chair however.

Just like when buying a pair of jeans, you have a range of choices such as; skinny jeans, high waisted, bootleg, boyfriend, straight leg, mom jeans and so on. The same applies for when buying an ergonomic office chair. They are all specifically designed to be comfortable and are suitable for different people.

What do I need to consider when buying an ergonomic office chair?

Factors such as your height, body measurements (e.g your thigh to hip measurement) and sometimes weight are important features that should be considered when choosing a chair that is going to be comfortable for you.

A chair that is suitable for someone who is tall for example, will not be suitable for a shorter person as the back height of the chair will more than likely need to be higher and the seat slide will need a longer adjustment. Features such as this are easily overlooked and often not known about when it comes to choosing the right office chair.

How we can help

With a wealth and knowledge when it comes to ergonomics and making sure people are comfortable when working, at Posture Chairs we are able to help you make the right choice for you. We have been supplying chairs to customers for a number of years and pride ourselves on always delivering a product that is well designed, well made and comfortable.

Of course, if you already know which chair you’d like to order and are happy that it will be comfortable, that’s great. We have customers who have had a chair for many years, that is exceptionally comfortable however, it is beginning to get tatty and needs an upgrade. In these cases, they reach out to us to place another order for the same chair because, if it isn’t broke, there’s no need to fix it!

If however, you are currently sat on a lumpy, stiff, uncomfortable office chair that just doesn’t support you, this is where we can help. When shopping online it is difficult to know where to begin when looking for a new chair, with so many available it can be daunting knowing which one will be the most suitable for you (without having to spend a small fortune).

Don’t worry, we can intervene. Whether you have an idea about what you are looking for or don’t know where to begin, feel free to get in touch. Give us a call or drop us an email and a member of the team will be more than happy to assist. We’re able to work within any budget, no matter how large or small to give you advice about a chair that we feel will suit you best.

To help even further, we may also send across one of our seat measuring guides where we will ask you to fill in a few of your back and leg measurements to allow us to work out which chair we feel will support you best.

This is of course all free of charge so that we can get you working comfortably, after all that is what we are here to do.

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch for some advice about which chair would be the most suitable for you, feel free to give us a call or send an email and we would be more than happy to help.
